How Referral Circle works for Canadian mental-health professionals
Finding a colleague involves more than choosing a name from a directory. Language, location, service format, clinical focus, fees and availability can all affect whether an option is useful. Referral Circle brings these details into a free professional search tool.
Who is Referral Circle for?
Referral Circle is for mental-health professionals looking for colleagues and resources. The searchable network is not a public client directory. Clients are not asked to register, verify a referral or communicate through the platform.
Is it free?
Yes. Members do not pay to join or to search, and practitioners cannot pay to receive a higher position in the results.
How do I join?
Build your professional profile, create your account and complete email verification. Provide accurate credentials and jurisdictions where you may practise. Do not imply that email verification independently certifies professional credentials.
What can I search for?
Describe the professional fit you need and refine it with the available filters. The platform supports details such as language, location, population, clinical concerns, service format, fees and availability. Assessment services have their own profile information and availability.
What do exact and possible matches mean?
The categories distinguish options that meet the recorded search requirements from options with differences. Read the explanation and profile rather than treating the category as a clinical recommendation. Profile details are member-provided and can change.
Does the platform guarantee someone is accepting clients?
No. Members periodically confirm availability, and profiles show availability information. You should confirm current capacity directly. Referral Circle does not guarantee an appointment, suitability or outcome.
What if there is no exact match?
Review the stated differences in the other options. Adjust a preference only when appropriate; do not relax a requirement just to produce a result. The network's coverage depends on who participates and keeps their details current.
What is Resources?
Resources is a separate search for practical supports, including community services, groups, programs, guides and other contributed listings. Check each provider's current details and suitability independently.
What information should I leave out?
Do not enter client names, contact information, dates of birth, addresses or identifying histories. Describe the service and professional fit. Referral Circle does not store client records or contact clients to confirm referrals.
Can I invite a colleague?
Yes. Members have an invitation link they can choose to share with a relevant professional colleague. Sharing a link does not require sharing the search or client information that prompted it.
